Friday nights used to be so much fun. During the "on" season, I'd come home for an exciting block of three hours of great sci-fi: Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Battlestar Galactica. It was a fun, "one, two, three" punch I could just relax and enjoy all evening.
But now, not only did sci-fi split up the shows to different showing schedules, but Battlestar Galactica is on SUNDAY NIGHTS at 10:00PM! Friday is the end of the week, typically long weeks. For me, I really enjoyed coming home on Friday, having something fun for dinner (order-in, take out) and indulging myself in "Sci-Fi Friday."
Alas, it's crazy now. Here is what's happened:
1. Battlestar Galactica was shifted to a different quarter than the Stargate series to be paralell to Doctor Who (2005) season 2.
2. After DW05S02 finished, it was moved from Friday night to Sunday night next to Dresden Files.
2. The new season of Stargate Atlantis has aired in Canada already.
3. The new season of Stargate SG-1 is almost done airing in the U.K. already.
4. Stargate SG-1 is cancelled after the end of this season.
So what do I do on Fridays now? Watch a few Futurama and Family Guy episodes on my DVR and go to bed early.
